Vacuum brazing of ceramics, copper, and stainless steel

Vacuum brazing of ceramics, copper, and stainless steel is an advanced joining technology used to manufacture high-performance components for semiconductor equipment, medical devices, power electronics, aerospace, and vacuum systems. This process enables the reliable bonding of ceramic insulators, highly conductive copper, and corrosion-resistant stainless steel into a single precision assembly, combining the unique advantages of each material.
During the vacuum brazing process, the components are assembled with a specially selected active brazing alloy and heated inside a high-vacuum brazing furnace. The oxygen-free environment prevents oxidation and contamination while allowing the filler metal to flow uniformly and create strong, leak-tight metallurgical bonds between the ceramic and metal surfaces. The controlled heating cycle minimizes thermal stress and ensures excellent dimensional accuracy.
Compared with conventional joining methods, vacuum brazing produces clean, flux-free joints with superior mechanical strength, excellent thermal and electrical performance, and outstanding reliability. It also reduces distortion and provides consistent quality for complex multi-material assemblies.
Vacuum-brazed ceramic, copper, and stainless steel components are widely used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, electrical feedthroughs, vacuum chambers, power modules, sensors, and high-temperature industrial systems where electrical insulation, efficient heat transfer, corrosion resistance, and long-term sealing performance are essential.
