Vacuum brazing of 6061 aluminum alloy water-cooled plates

Vacuum brazing of 6061 aluminum alloy water-cooled plates is a widely used manufacturing process for high-performance thermal management components in industries such as electronics, power systems, aerospace, and semiconductor equipment. The 6061 aluminum alloy offers an excellent balance of thermal conductivity, mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and machinability, making it ideal for complex cooling plate designs with internal flow channels.

During vacuum brazing, precisely machined aluminum plates and cover sheets are joined using aluminum-based brazing filler alloys in a high-vacuum furnace. The oxygen-free environment prevents oxidation and eliminates the need for flux, resulting in clean, uniform, and leak-free joints throughout the internal cooling passages. The finished water-cooled plates exhibit high structural integrity, efficient heat dissipation, and long-term reliability under continuous thermal cycling and pressurized fluid operation.
