Vacuum brazing is the preferred method for manufacturing large 6061 series aluminum cooled plates, commonly used in high-power electronics, laser systems, battery cooling modules, and industrial thermal management equipment. These plates require precise internal channels and flawless bonding to ensure efficient heat removal, and vacuum brazing provides the ideal combination of strength, cleanliness, and dimensional accuracy.

In this process, machined aluminum plates and channel structures are assembled with a suitable aluminum brazing alloy, usually an Al-Si filler. The parts are heated inside a high-vacuum brazing furnace, which eliminates oxide formation and ensures that the molten filler metal flows smoothly into every joint by capillary action. This produces a completely sealed, leak-proof, and uniform bond across the entire plate surface.

Because the 6061 series aluminum alloy has good thermal conductivity and mechanical strength, vacuum brazing enhances these properties by delivering minimal distortion, consistent flatness, and excellent structural integrity. The resulting cooled plates are lightweight yet robust, capable of handling high heat loads and continuous operation.
