Vacuum Brazing Diamond Wire Saw Beads: The Ultimate Technology for Stone Cutting

What Are Diamond Wire Saw Beads?
The diamond wire saw bead, also called diamond bead or diamond wire bead, is the core cutting component of a diamond wire saw. It is designed as a hollow cylindrical structure made from alloy powder and diamond. Multiple beads are strung along a steel rope and separated by rings and spacer sleeves to form the complete cutting tool, which performs the actual grinding and cutting of stones, concrete, and other materials. The specifications of the beads, including diameter, quantity per meter, and material formula, are carefully optimized to match different cutting applications, ensuring precise performance and durability.
Why Vacuum Brazing is the Best Method
Among the four mainstream manufacturing methods: electroplating, sintering, infiltration, and vacuum brazing; vacuum brazing is the most advanced and reliable technology. Vacuum brazing creates a strong metallurgical bond between diamonds and the alloy matrix under high temperature and controlled vacuum, preventing diamond detachment, enhancing durability, and ensuring consistent cutting performance. Vacuum brazed diamond wire saw beads are known as the “never falling off” type, capable of maintaining sharpness for a long time and achieving a diamond utilization rate of more than 50%, compared to just 5–10% in traditional beads. They also deliver cutting efficiency 2–3 times higher than sintered beads while reducing power consumption. In comparison, electroplating offers low diamond retention, sintering provides weaker bonding and lower efficiency, and infiltration, although stronger, cannot match the precision, durability, and performance of vacuum brazing. Vacuum brazed diamond wire saw beads are suitable for cutting soft stones such as marble and medium-hard granite, where their superior sharpness and stability can be fully leveraged.
