Ceramic vacuum brazing is an advanced joining technology used to bond stainless steel and gold-plated stainless steel pins with ceramic components in applications requiring high precision, electrical reliability, and long-term stability. This process is widely applied in electronics, sensors, medical devices, and vacuum or hermetic sealing assemblies.

The brazing operation is carried out in a high-temperature vacuum brazing furnace, where a high-vacuum environment prevents oxidation and contamination of both metal and ceramic surfaces. An active brazing alloy, typically containing silver, copper, and titanium, is used to ensure proper wetting and bonding between the ceramic and metallic pins. Brazing temperatures usually range between 800–950 °C, depending on material selection and joint design.

Vacuum brazing ensures clean, strong, and hermetic joints while preserving the integrity of the gold plating and the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. The controlled heating and cooling cycles minimize thermal stress, ensuring precise alignment and mechanical stability.

As a result, stainless steel and gold-plated stainless steel pins joined by ceramic vacuum brazing deliver excellent electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance, and long service life, making them ideal for high-reliability and precision industrial applications.
