DT4C Electrical Pure Iron Heat Treatment for Coercivity Reduction and Demagnetization

DT4C electrical pure iron is a high-purity soft magnetic material widely used in electromagnetic devices, sensors, and precision instruments. To achieve its optimal magnetic performance, the material must undergo a specialized heat treatment process designed to remove wire drawing stress, reduce coercivity, and eliminate residual magnetism.
During the heat treatment, DT4C iron is heated in a controlled vacuum or hydrogen atmosphere to prevent oxidation. The high temperature allows the internal crystal structure to reorganize, releasing mechanical strain introduced during machining or wire forming. This process significantly lowers coercivity, enhances magnetic permeability, and stabilizes the magnetic domains for smooth magnetization and demagnetization cycles.

The final demagnetization treatment ensures that no residual magnetic fields remain, allowing the iron to respond rapidly to changing magnetic signals. As a result, DT4C electrical pure iron exhibits excellent soft magnetic properties, making it an ideal material for transformers, magnetic sensors, relays, and precision electromagnetic components where low energy loss and high sensitivity are critical.
